The 3rd annual Low End Theory Festival will take place Saturday July 23, 2016 at the Shrine Expo Hall and Grounds in Los Angeles. Ghostface Killah and Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan will headline Low End Theory Festival 2016, presented by Goldenvoice. DJ Q-Bert and the legendary turntable crew Invisibl Skratch Piklz will reunite for a special set, and Grammy Award-winning engineer MixedByAli (responsible for the sonics behind Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly) will also perform. All residents DJs from the world-renowned weekly Low End Theory event will be present, including Daddy Kev, Nobody, the Gaslamp Killer and D-Styles.
The Beat Invitational will also come back to Low End Theory Festival, giving up-and-coming producers the chance to win a performance slot on the main stage. Production workshops will occur during the day, giving guests of the festival the chance to learn studio techniques from renowned contemporaries. Following up on two sold-out festival events from the last two years, Low End Theory Festival 2016 follows up on the 500th weekly event the organization just reached this month.
