These days I’m not too skeptical about trying things that I find online or on Pinterest, as long as it’s natural of course!
The other day I stumbled upon a Lavender and Coconut Oil Hair Spray. As far as my skin is concerned, coconut oil is a bit too thin, especially when my skin is extremely dry. My hair on the other hand, responds really well to coconut oil. So I thought, why not! I had a bit of Lavender Oil left, I had some filtered water (bottled water) and I had coconut oil (already melted…it’s so warm in California right now) and I had an empty spray bottle laying around.
Coconut oil helps with dryness and damage, it also prevents breakage. Lavender oil helps in treating dandruff and a dry and itchy scalp. It will also make your hair smell so good. Distilled or filtered water is cleaner than faucet water of course.
Now, the recipe;
In a spray bottle, add
2 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
3 drops of lavender oil
1 cup of filtered oil
Shake well before each use!
This spray can be used on dry hair, just washed hair or slightly damp hair. It can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment for hair growth or to protect your hair while swimming. Your hair and your scalp will be happy!
